If you messaged a business on WhatsApp
- To stop all further messages, reply STOP in the WhatsApp chat.
- To have your data deleted, ask the business you made the enquiry with. They control your data and will ask us to delete it.
- You can also use our contact form, with the phone number you used and the business's name. We will check the request with you and with the business and confirm when your data is deleted, normally within 30 days. Deletion removes your enquiry, messages, details, documents and files from the service for good; only a record that it was deleted remains.
If you have a portal account
Use our contact form with the email address on the account, or ask your organisation's administrator to remove you.
If you connected a WhatsApp Business account
Disconnect it in the Ironfang portal, or remove Ironfang's access in Meta Business Settings; disconnecting deletes the stored access token at once. Enquiry data is then deleted under your retention setting, or sooner on request through our contact form.
What deletion does not cover
Deleting your data does not delete messages already on your own phone or in the business's own systems. Encrypted backups can hold deleted data until they are replaced, and are used only to restore the service.
Read the Ironfang Agent privacy policy for how the service handles your data.
